Diversity and inclusion are welcome new buzzwords. Yet we still struggle to define exactly what they mean. But like art, you know it when you see it. And you could see it and feel it at Valentino.
The inclusive casting imbued the collection with immediacy and sensory fireworks. Because of the romance and muscle of the clothes, the diversity of models’ skin tones and facial structures, was made all the more powerful.
This was a masterful collection. Glorious ruffles, patterned hosiery under mellifluous prints, magnificent colors and sweeping cuts abounded.
Only a casting that was sensitive and bold would do for this memorable collection.
